Cholesterol Module is a Food for Special Medical Purposes. A powdered mixture of cholesterol and carbohydrate. For the dietary management of conditions requiring a source of exogenous cholesterol e.g. Smith-Lemli-Opitz Syndrome. Suitable for use from birth.

Must be used under medical supervision. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. For enteral use only.

The recommended dosage of Cholesterol Module is dependent on the age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient. It should be determined by a doctor or a dietitian and should be based on serum levels of cholesterol and its metabolites. Dissolve the prescribed amount of Cholesterol Module to form a paste and add to drink or meal. The recommended dose is 100mg per kg body weight per day. Scoop Weight: 1 level scoop provides 5.9g of powder.

Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened use within 4 weeks. Always replace the container lid after use. Prepared feed can be stored in a refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
