In this webinar, Health Psychologist Dr Vanessa Bogle will introduce you to practical skills to build upon your existing skillset to help improve communication during brief health consultations with anxious parents related to infant feeding. You will be introduced to Motivational Interviewing (MI), an evidence-based approach to facilitating behaviour change. This will include the key principles of MI, the use of a ‘guiding style’ of communication, good listening skills, the importance of empathy and how to express it, ways to increase motivation and strategies for sharing information.
