What’s changing:

1. Packaging design, volume & colour of lids - Neocate LCP

From December 2025, you’ll begin to see new packaging designs for Neocate LCP.

The images below help you to identify the changes to the packaging design, which includes moving from a gold to a purple lid and increasing to 420g (from 400g) within a tin.

Where do I get the new Neocate LCP 420g from?

Neocate LCP is a prescription product available from your healthcare professional. When you collect your prescription from the pharmacy, they should now provide the 420g pack which they can order directly from their wholesaler Alliance. Even if your prescription says 400g, the Pharmacist can still give you the 420g packs.

What do I do if I cannot get hold of the new Neocate LCP 420g?

Neocate LCP 420g is available across the UK and has good supply levels. Neocate LCP is not out of stock. If you hear this then please advise your pharmacy to order from Alliance and remind them, they can dispense/provide the 420g pack to you even if your prescription says 400g.

Can I still use my Neocate LCP 400g before I move to 420g?

Yes, Neocate 400g is safe to use until you run out and need to collect your next prescription. There are no changes to clinical indications or dietary suitability between the 400g gold lid pack and the 420g purple lid pack.

2. Neocate LCP – DHA ingredient source change

There will also be one ingredient source change for Neocate LCP. The source of Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) has been changed to help ensure continuity of supply.
There are no changes to the clinical indications or dietary suitability of Neocate LCP.
There are no changes to the preparation instructions; please continue to prepare your baby’s formula as per the instructions on the label.
Your Dietitian/GP can continue your prescription as usual.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Breastfeeding is best. Neocate LCP is a Food for Special Medical Purpose. It should only be used under medical supervision, after full consideration of the feeding options available including breastfeeding. Neocate LCP is used for the dietary management of Cow’s Milk Allergy, Multiple Food Protein Allergies and other conditions where an amino acid-based formula is recommended. It is suitable for use as the sole source of nutrition for infants under one year of age. Refer to labels for details.
