Calogen Extra Shots

Calogen Extra Shots is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for use under medical supervision. Calogen Extra Shots is a high energy (4kcal/ml) fat emulsion. With sugars and sweeteners. Calogen Extra Shots can be used to supplement or fortify the diet of patients who are unable to meet their energy and/or vitamin and mineral requirements from regular dietary intake. Calogen Extra Shots can be used as an energy enhancer in tube feeds and oral nutritional supplements.

Not suitable for children under 3 years of age. Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia.

Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Only to be used as a supplement to the normal diet. Use with caution in children aged 3-6 years. Must be used under strict medical supervision.

Shake well before opening. Calogen Extra Shots is ready to drink and is best served chilled. Dosage should be determined by a clinician or dietitian and is dependent on the age, body weight and medical condition of the patient. Recommended daily dose is 3x40ml shots, unless specified by a clinician or dietitian. Can be taken undiluted or diluted with milk or water. It can also be mixed into foods. May require dilution for children under 5 years of age.

Neutral flavour: Water, vegetable oils (rapeseed oil, sunflower oil), Cows milk protein caseinates, sugar, potassium citrate, whey protein hydrolysate (from Cows milk), tri calcium phosphate, magnesium hydrogen phosphate, flavouring, magnesium carbonate, acidity regulator (citric acid), choline chloride, stabilisers (microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethylcellulose), sodium L-ascorbate, potassium chloride, maltodextrin, sweetener (sucralose), ferrous lactate, inositol, zinc sulphate, sodium selenite, nicotinamide, retinyl acetate, copper gluconate, manganese sulphate, D-biotin, calcium D-pantothenate, cholecalciferol, chromium chloride, pteroylmonoglutamic acid, cyanocobalamin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamin hydrochloride, potassium iodide, sodium molybdate, riboflavin, phytomenadione. Store in a cool, dry place (5-25°C) and away from direct sunlight. Once opened, consume 40ml shot directly and discard any unfinished feed. Calogen Extra Shots is not suitable for freezing.
