PROTEIN REQUIREMENTS​

  • A varied protein target of 1-2.5 g/kg/day based on disease state and nutritional status2​
  • If no protein guideline is available, the Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Group (PENG) Requirements Guideline Group 2018 recommends using 1.0-1.5 g protein/kg actual body weight/day4
