Recycling medical nutrition packaging

In October 2020, the NHS outlined its vision to deliver the world’s first net zero health service in response to the climate emergency.

Increasing recycling is a simple task that can make a positive contribution to reducing carbon emissions and conserving natural resources by reducing demand for raw materials.

During 2021/22 Nutricia worked in partnership with The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to implement a project to increase the recycling of medical nutrition packaging.

It’s hoped the following support materials will inspire others to implement similar projects across hospital, community, and home settings.
